How is Portable Reverse Osmosis Works? (Portable Reverse Osmosis)

Portable Reverse Osmosis

Water passes through a series of pre-filters, which remove particles and chlorine like you standard filters before the water is then forced through a semi permeable membrane. This membrane is rated at approximately .02 microns. Very little water actually gets through the membrane and the rest along with the waste is directed down the drain unless you have a recovery system set up. The water that passes through the membrane is very pure water that has most of the dissolved solids removed from it.

After going through the above filtration the pure water is then passed through a polishing filter (usually a carbon block), which ensures you will be drinking the best tasting water possible from this system.

This type of system is superior in removing all of your undesirables including bacteria, viruses, lead, fluoride, chlorine, calcium, magnesium, and other minerals that your body cannot absorb properly.

A Reverse Osmosis system can have several configurations as well as different ratings for the membrane. Booster pumps, permeate pumps, Ultra Violet Sterilization Units and other types of filters can be added to the system to make the unit operate more efficiently.

A Reverse Osmosis System works the best and lasts much longer when used in conjunction with a Water Softener or a combination Softener/Conditioning unit
